The OBC Committee at Rajagiri College of Management and Applied Sciences is dedicated to the upliftment and support of students from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. This committee plays a crucial role in ensuring equitable access to education, fostering an inclusive environment, and promoting the overall well-being of OBC students.

Vision

To empower OBC students by providing equal opportunities, fostering an inclusive environment, and ensuring their holistic development to become competent and socially responsible individuals.

Mission

  1. Support and Empowerment: To provide comprehensive support to OBC students in academic, financial, and personal spheres to ensure their all-round development.
  2. Inclusivity and Equality: To promote an inclusive campus culture that respects and values diversity, ensuring that all students have equal access to resources and opportunities.
  3. Awareness and Advocacy: To raise awareness about the rights and challenges of OBC students, advocating for their needs and working towards the elimination of any form of discrimination.

Objectives

  1. Academic Support:
    • Provide additional academic assistance through remedial classes, tutoring, and mentorship programs.
    • Facilitate access to academic resources and study materials.
  2. Financial Assistance:
    • Inform students about various scholarships, grants, and financial aid schemes available for OBC students.
    • Assist in the application process for financial aid and scholarships.
  3. Counseling and Mentorship:
    • Offer personal and career counseling to address any social, emotional, or psychological challenges faced by OBC students.
    • Establish mentorship programs connecting OBC students with faculty and senior students for guidance and support.
  4. Grievance Redressal:
